COINCASA’S FURNISHINGS AND HOME DESIGN HAVE THE COLOURS OF THE OCEAN AND THE FEEL OF THE SEA
The feature collection for Summer 2018, Ocean House, is a tribute to the nature and the atmosphere of the coasts, the seas of the north. A dive into the colours of the ocean.
In those lands, going away for the summer is a ritual and this is why the coastlines, beaches and fjords are dotted with cottages and wooden houses on their granite rocks, and isolated huts in seaside bays. Homes for the summer have an informal, welcoming feel to them, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be sophisticated at the same time.
This collection is rich in textures and transparencies, with hints of colour, glazed brushstrokes on terracotta, and carved and woven wood.
Graphic prints alternate with rich embroidery. The main inspiration behind this design comes from the typical icons used in the nautical world: stripes, lighthouses, sailing boats, and anchors, and from the sea, with fish, seabirds, shells, crustaceans, and whales.
The tones of sea blue, oceans, sky blues and the colours of water feature in this collection, together with white, dotted with red and coral.
FURNITURE AND COMPLEMENTARY FURNISHING ITEMS
As well as the collection of furniture and furnishing accessories based on the main themes of recycled and natural materials, featuring woven fabric elements, the summer range adds a wealth of different tables models, armchairs and sofas, all designed to furnish terraces and gardens, to accompany moments with friends and family, or for relaxing along the short, or on a patio or even a balcony in town.
These stories have also provided the inspiration for two special capsule collections, describing themes that focus on the origin of the products, on recycling and sustainability. One is made with volcanic materials from Sicily and one has been created in partnership with the women of Madagascar.
LIVING ROOM FURNISHINGS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER
Make way for decorative items, painted and carved by artisans, where natural materials such as wood or metal can be seen through paint that has been distressed by wind, sun and salty sea air. Mango wood, bone, artisan glass and precious pottery. Vases, frames, ornaments, and storage trays are also perfect as gift ideas.
Soft furnishings complete the look as well as offering a wealth of different ideas - from refined elegance through to a cool, typically nautical theme: the bases in cotton and stone washed linen mix with indigo prints and tie-dye styles with embroidery, textures, fringes and appliqué effects.
Lots of rugs and carpets in different sizes and patterns, in jute and also in cotton.
TABLE AND KITCHENWARE IN THE COLOURS OF THE SEA
The tableware is all about blue, in every shade, with sourced textured materials, from Portuguese ceramics to transparent glass, carved woods and terracotta.
The table cloths have brightly coloured designs, with prints of fish and starfish, plus patterns in pale blue, dark blue, red and white.
BED LINENS AND BATH LINENS IN COORDINATED COLOURS, BEACH TOWELS AND BEACHWEAR
The bed and bathroom linens range from ultra-sophisticated prints and colours to cooler designs with a typically nautical feel.
Sheets and duvet covers in cool cotton percale with rich coloured prints and embroidered trim.
The beach towels are lightweight, with one terry side and the other in cotton, with fringe trim.
A capsule collection dedicated to homewear and beachwear adds to the offer for the summer season: printed trousers, tops, and pants with comfy styles in soft quality fabrics, available in the colours of the collection.
